How We Work
From the Sierra Madre to your door, in plain sight.
The studio
Every Sol & Stone piece begins in a small workshop in Nayarit, Mexico, where eleven Wixárika women thread glass beads onto cotton cord by hand. There is no factory line, no production target, no rush. A single fringe necklace can take eighty hours across three afternoons.
The materials
We work with Czech 11/0 Preciosa seed beads, sourced once a year in person. Cotton cord, leather backing, and 925 sterling silver findings. Nothing plated. Nothing synthetic. Nothing that fades within a season.
The pace
We release small drops, not seasonal floods. Most pieces are made to order. If something says one of one, it means there is one in the world, and the woman who made it signed it with a small knot inside the cord.
The price
Sixty percent of every retail dollar goes back to the artisan who made the piece. The rest covers materials, shipping, and the small team that gets your order to your door. We do not run sales. The price you see is the price the work deserves.
